We value life!

Dear colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the “60. Biometrisches Kolloquium” of the German Region of the International Biometric Society. The conference will take place in Bremen, Germany, and will be hosted by the University Bremen, the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology – BIPS, and the Competence Center for Clinical Trials Bremen (KKSB).

The theme of this conference is reflected in the scientific topics: Invited speakers will cover a wide range, which offers a historical review and also describes the respective current state of today’s research in our very broad-based discipline.

In particular, the session "60+ years IBS-DR" will deal with the history of the IBS-DR: We begin with the “1. Biometrisches Kolloquium” (1954) at the Kerckhoff Institute, Bad Nauheim, the traditional conference venue of the next few years, and go through the unification of the two German regions in Marburg (1990) to the present day and beyond.

We hope that you enjoy the special topics and that you help us with your contributions to make an exciting program.

We look forward to welcoming you in Bremen!
Iris Pigeot,
Ronja Foraita,
Werner Brannath
